there are lots of benefits of keeping your baby near you .your baby stays in your arms reach. Sometimes it becomes really tough to make a harmony between sleep and your baby. It might be possible you can get irritated if you are not done with your night sleeps. You are supposed to have a nap in between.  If you are alone can cause harm and dangerous for your baby.   • Best sleeping position for your baby: Best position for your baby sleep is lying your baby on her back. Never place your baby on her tummy or her side to sleep. Parents are still advised to place their babies on their backs to sleep.

  • Avoid using a crib. Crib bumpers were initially used to keep a baby’s head from getting caught between the vertical crib slats. There is a certain parameter that is the amount of space permitted between the vertical slats on all cribs. Crib bumpers areas designed which can increase the risk of suffocation, strangulation, and entrapment. It is strictly not advised by many leading children’s health and safety experts. Few countries like  Maryland and Chicago have banned the sale of crib bumpers altogether.

Kangaroo care or skin-to-skin care, the practice of holding your newborn baby on your bare chest/breast, with a blanket draped over your baby’s back. Skin-to-skin contact benefits both you and your baby.  It can begin immediately after delivery or may start after they are more stable. Even very small babies with major health issues or on a mechanical ventilator can benefit from these short sessions. Once your baby is stabilized, sessions should be at least an hour as anything less can be stressful for your baby.

Bed sharing and Breastfeeding are two powerful tools to avoid and almost stopping the chances of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) which is very know nowadays are the natural solution This reduces lots of your worries like night breastfeeding, nappy changing. The AAP recommends room-sharing over bedsharing and suggests that if a mother does bring her baby into the parents’ bed for a nighttime feeding, that she returns her baby to the crib after the feeding.

    I like the kangaroo care part which is quite attractive.It seems like indian parents are using this technique from long time ,like sleeping with baby in the same bed and kangaroo care.Need to learn .

      Yeah quite sure .Indian parents are doing this practice since their existence.They are very much careful with child.Indian mother sacrifices her sex life for their kids.So yes that sacrifice need to learn from these mothers.Sleeping with baby having number of benefits.like good for baby and mother,good lactation,sound sleep for both of them etc.
