1. Rukmini belongs to the aviation industry. She and Neil met each other thanks to their parents; the two families have known each other for long.
2. Rukmini has studied aviation in Aurangabad and her interest areas are environment and education.
3. Rukmini is based in Mumbai, and she and Neil have been dating for a month after their parents arranged the match. Neil chose to have an arranged marriage because he is ‘old school when it comes to marriage’, revealed his father Nitin Mukesh.
4. “I think she (Rukmini) is just perfect. She is the perfect balance that any man would want in his woman. She is simple, beautiful, loving and all the awesome adjectives I can think of. She fits them all,” is what Neil had to say about his wife-to-be.
5. Neil also spoke about his chemistry with Rukmini: “Our chemistry is outstanding. She understands that I am a little bit of a prankster. I have a habit of joking around and sometimes people don’t understand my jokes. They might get offended sometimes, but she instantly understood the kind of person I am and laughed at every point.”
6. Rukmini ‘completely understands’ Neil. And that is the one reason above all else that made Neil fall for her. “She completely understands me in that sense. I love her for that,” he said.
7. Neil had left the decision of finding his soulmate in his parents’ hands, and hence, the arranged match. They had a courtship of one month.
8. Neil’s parents Nitin Mukesh and Nishi Mukesh were bowled over by Rukmini’s simplicity and upbringing. Nitin Mukesh said, “She reflects the values and traditions that Neil has been raised with and complements him in every way possible. The celebrations to the final countdown have already begun.”
9. Neil and Rukmini’s wedding will take place early next year.
10. After their wedding, Neil and Rukmini will not move out of the Mukesh residence. “I am not moving out. I have got a new house. It just coincidentally happened to be that – Dussehra, housewarming and this (engagement). I am definitely not moving out.
